With FYI, you now have the ability to duplicate projects that you own. Whether they're private or public, you can create copies of them. Just keep in mind, any changes you make to a file in the original project will also reflect in the duplicate, unless you edit or modify that file in the cloned project first, giving it its own unique version.
i) Duplicating a project
- Head to the “Projects’ main screen and long press on the project you want to duplicate
- Select ‘Duplicate’ and a popup message will appear stating some files may be affected
3. Once you duplicate the project every asset will appear from the main project. The title will also include ‘Copy-’
ii)Functionalities/Behavior: Things to Note
-
- Deleting from the original Source file may affect the duplicated project and its files
- When heading to project files none of the assets from the original project will appear
- When duplicating a public project, the copy is turned into a private project first. You must flip it public yourself.
- You will need to re-add every editor/guest back into the Copied project
- KNOWN ISSUE, TO BE FIXED IN A LATER VERSION: You will need to edit all the project blocks in order for them to be present on a webview. If none of the project blocks are edited they will not appear on webview.
-
If a duplicated project has assets linked to a private original project, the assets won't appear on webview. To fix this issue, you must head to the original project and turn it public for the cloned assets to be viewable
