Invite Via Link for Group Chats

Invite via Link Feature

The ‘Invite via Link’ is an easy way to add anyone to group chats by automatically granting them access. This is a simple way to collaborate openly with others.

How to use Invite Via Link

(i) Copying the Invite Link

1. Go to your Group chat.
2. Tap on the Group chat Name.
3. Scroll down to ‘Participants in the Group’ and press ‘Invite Via Link’.
4. Make sure to toggle ON ‘Allow Invite Link for this group’.
5. Tap ‘Copy’.

6. Select a 1-1 chat or group chat.

7. Paste the link and press the blue arrow button to send.

8. Once the user taps the link, they will be able to access the group chat.

Note: You can also send the invite link to anyone outside of FYI, but they'll only be able to join the group chat if they have an FYI account.

(ii) Sharing the Invite Link

1. Go to your Group chat.
2. Tap on the Group chat Name.
3. Scroll down to ‘Participants in the Group’ and press ‘Invite Via Link’.
4. Make sure to toggle ON ‘Allow Invite Link for this group’.
5. Tap ‘Share’ and press ‘FYI’.

1. Select any contact or groups
2. Press the blue arrow button to send the link
3. Once the user taps the link, they will be able to access the group chat.

Note: You can also share the invite link to anyone outside of FYI, but they'll only be able to join the group chat if they have an FYI account.
